Here is the recipe I like to use:

1 1/4 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. white sugar
1 T. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 egg
1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. blueberries
lemon or orange zest

Okay, first thing you do is double this recipe. Because you want to eat a lot of these bastards.

Except, I don’t fully double the sugar. There is no reason for that except for guilt.

Then you preheat the oven to 425.

Then mix the following: oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt. Add egg, milk, oil, the citrus zest; mix until dry ingredients are moistened. Then add the blueberries. I add more than the doubled recipe calls for because I really like blueberries and so far this doesn’t seem to have consequences. Your mileage may vary.

Then you bake them until they look done. Like 20 minutes or whatever. Or until the toothpick comes out clean.

Then you cool them and eat the hell out of them and talk about it a lot on Facebook.
