Meet Sex & Violence

Meet Sex & Violence

Here is my book.

Well, the cover at least.

It comes out October 1, 2013.

Sex & Violence is a YA novel. The main character’s a boy. Oh, just go here, to get all the details and stuff.

And here is Andrew Smith, author of many excellent books, including Stick, The Marbury Lens and the forthcoming Winger, saying nice stuff about Sex & Violence, too.

(People saying nice stuff about sex & violence. There’s a search hit for you.)

What else? Oh, right. You can win an ARC and check out another release from Carolrhoda LAB (A Wounded Name by Dot Hutchison, out in September) if you go here.

A Wounded Name is a re-imagining of the Hamlet story, but from Ophelia’s point-of-view and it’s very delicious.

Authors don’t really have anything to do with their cover design. Which is fine with me; I’m about as visually adept as a blind rat. But I’m really happy with this cover. Laura Rinne designed it and she did a lovely job.

Wow, though–read some of the blurbs and they sounded totally non-hyperbole, straight-up. How wonderful–I mean, of course _we_ know it’s awesome, but having other people say so to yet other people is just all round good thing.

Yes, the cover is fantastic. I love art made around letters and symbols.

You must be so excited. I’m so excited for you. And proud–reflected glory, you know?
Is Matilda proud–mom’s the next JK Rowling type thing?

Those are some persuasive blurbs on the back of the jacket!
